Provides reduced cost legal help program for income-eligible individuals needing legal assistance in select areas of law. Legal help may be available with adult guardianship, bankruptcy, consumer/finance, criminal misdemeanors, employment, family, housing (foreclosure and landlord/tenant), immigration, juvenile guardianship, and wills/trusts.
Provides referrals to lawyers who have expertise in a specific area of concern for people unacquainted with local attorneys. This is not a low income or pro bono service.
Provides legal advice to older adults. Includes elder law issues, such as age discrimination, disability benefits, estate planning, Medicare, advance planning, long-term care, nursing home reform, and guardianship/conservatorship. Services provided by volunteer lawyers experienced in elder law.
