Coordinates advocacy efforts on behalf of people age 60 and older. Promotes public awareness of their issues. Acts as an information center about programs and services for the aging. Administers contracts with public and private providers. Provides technical assistance to contractors and other community groups. Coordinates planning, development, and delivery of needed services for seniors age 60 and older and adults with disabilities age 18 and older who need long term care. Volunteers share presentations in classrooms about life stories of prejudices they have endured. Volunteers also lead video discussions about diversity, bullying, and self-esteem.
